You are warmly welcomed on arrival at Entebbe Airport and start your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive takes you through beautiful countryside, rolling hills and local communities. You arrive in the afternoon and enjoy lunch followed by a relaxed evening. Each accommodation option offers an amazing view of the forest and a peaceful atmosphere with sounds of birds and flowing water. Enjoy dinner and rest as you prepare for an exciting day ahead.

Start the morning with a lovely breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing. Rangers guide you through the rules that protect the gorillas and ensure a safe and respectful trek. Groups are formed and your adventure into the forest begins. The walk is magical, with sightings of birds, other primates, butterflies and thick vegetation. The trek can take between two and eight hours depending on the location of the gorilla family.

When you finally meet them, you spend one unforgettable hour watching their natural routines such as feeding, playing, caring for their young and relaxing in the forest. You are advised to keep a respectful distance and avoid using flash photography.

After the trek you return to the lodge for a rest. Later in the afternoon you enjoy a cultural walk to visit the Batwa community where you learn about their traditions, crafts, stories and daily lifestyle. Evening dinner and rest at the lodge.

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before checking out of the lodge. You begin the scenic drive to Kibale Forest National Park, known as the home of the chimpanzees. The views along the way are spectacular, with terraced hills, lush valleys and beautiful farmlands. You may stop for photographs as you wish.

You arrive in the evening and check into your preferred lodge. The atmosphere around Kibale is calm and refreshing, perfect for unwinding before the next day’s adventure. Enjoy dinner and overnight.

Wake up early for breakfast, then proceed to Kibale Forest for chimpanzee tracking. The forest is rich in wildlife, and along the way you may come across baboons, red colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, grey cheeked mangabeys and many more primates.

The encounter with chimpanzees is thrilling as you watch them feed, play, communicate and swing across the trees with incredible energy. This experience provides wonderful photo opportunities and unforgettable memories.

After the trek you return to the lodge briefly before starting the journey back to Kampala or Entebbe, arriving in the evening. This marks the end of your four day Uganda Gorilla and Chimpanzee Safari.
