Elephant Bedroom Camp is an intimate tented camp in the Samburu ecosystem, set close to riverine habitat where elephants and other wildlife may move through the landscape. It suits guests who want a smaller camp with a warm safari feel, comfortable tents and good access to Samburu game drives. The reserve is especially interesting because it offers northern Kenya species such as Grevy zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk and beisa oryx, alongside elephants, lions, leopards and many birds. The camp works well for couples, photographers and families who want a distinctive contrast to Maasai Mara and Amboseli.
Child Policy
Children are welcome by prior arrangement, but the natural riverine setting requires close adult supervision. Parents and guardians should request suitable tenting and provide all child ages before confirmation. Children must not walk alone around the camp, especially near river areas or after dark. A private vehicle is recommended for families with young children because Samburu can be hot and flexible drive times improve comfort. Walking activities and some cultural or specialist experiences may have age rules that should be confirmed before travel.
