About the Reserve

Kihihi Airstrip is an important aviation access point for the Bwindi region, especially for travellers flying to gorilla trekking sectors in southwestern Uganda. It reduces the long road journey from Entebbe or Kampala and supports high end safaris that use private aircraft or helicopter transfers. In the helicopter excursion document, the route from Kajjansi to Kihihi is presented as a direct way to reach the heart of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest experience.
