This four day Uganda safari is a carefully paced short escape that combines Kampala city culture with the raw wilderness of Murchison Falls National Park. Guests begin with a guided cultural introduction to Kampala, visiting important royal, religious, and historical landmarks before continuing north through scenic countryside to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhinoceros tracking on foot. The journey then enters Murchison Falls National Park, where the Nile forces its way through a narrow seven metre gorge and where game drives across the northern savannah reveal elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, antelopes, and other wildlife. A Nile boat safari to the bottom of the falls completes the experience with close views of hippopotamus, Nile crocodiles, riverbank wildlife, and birdlife. The itinerary is ideal for guests who want a compact but rich Uganda safari with luxury lodge comfort and meaningful conservation encounters.
Day 1
Arrival in Entebbe and Kampala City Cultural Tour
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your professional Urban Jay Safaris guide and transferred to Kampala for a guided city and cultural tour. This first day is designed to introduce guests to the living heritage of Uganda before the wilderness section of the journey begins. The Kampala experience may include the Bahai Temple for panoramic city views, the historic Gaddafi National Mosque, Mengo Palace which is connected to the Buganda Kingdom, and the Kasubi Royal Tombs which are recognised as an important cultural heritage site. After the city tour, you will transfer to your lakeside luxury hotel for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 2
Kampala to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, depart early for Murchison Falls National Park through the scenic countryside north of Kampala. The mid morning highlight is a guided rhinoceros tracking experience at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Uganda’s only place to see rhinoceros in the wild. This on foot conservation experience gives guests a close understanding of rhinoceros protection and the work being done to restore the species in Uganda. After lunch en route, continue to Murchison Falls National Park. In the afternoon, visit the top of the falls and take a guided walk along the crest where the Nile explodes through a narrow seven metre gorge. Later, enjoy a sunset game drive in search of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, antelopes, and other wildlife before dinner and overnight at Nile Safari Lodge.

Day 3
Murchison Falls National Park Wildlife and Nile Boat Safari
After an early breakfast, begin the day with a morning game drive on the northern bank of Murchison Falls National Park. The savannah plains here offer opportunities to see lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, Uganda kob, hartebeest, buffaloes, and a variety of antelope species. Later, take a boat cruise to the bottom of Murchison Falls along the Nile, with close views of hippopotamus, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes at the riverbanks, and numerous bird species including seasonal chances for shoebill sightings. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before heading out for a sundowner experience. Dinner and overnight are at Nile Safari Lodge.

Day 4
Murchison Falls to Entebbe and Departure
After breakfast, depart Murchison Falls National Park and drive back to Entebbe through Uganda’s countryside. An optional lunch stop can be arranged in Entebbe depending on flight timing. On arrival, transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight. This marks the end of the four day Murchison Falls safari experience with Urban Jay Safaris.
