Africa’s protected areas represent the final frontiers of untamed wilderness on Earth. At Urban Jay Safaris, we provide exclusive access to these sanctuaries, navigating the intricate ecosystems where the drama of survival unfolds daily.

There is a distinct difference in how these pristine lands are managed. National Parks, such as the famous Amboseli or Serengeti, are strictly managed by government bodies like the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) and the Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA). They offer vast landscapes and enforce strict gate times and marked trails to protect the flora and fauna.

Conversely, Conservancies and Reserves (like the Mara Naboisho or Ol Pejeta) are often privately managed or run in partnership with local Maasai or Samburu communities. These areas allow for highly exclusive experiences, including off-road driving, night game drives, and guided walking safaris—activities strictly prohibited in national parks.
