About the Reserve
Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is Uganda’s dedicated rhinoceros conservation area and the only place in the country where guests can track wild rhinoceros on foot with trained ranger guides. The sanctuary plays an important role in restoring rhinoceros populations in Uganda and gives travellers an unusually close and educational conservation encounter. It is often visited en route between Entebbe or Kampala and Murchison Falls National Park, making it an important first wildlife experience on northern Uganda safari routes.
