About the Reserve

The Ishasha Sector is the southern wilderness area of Queen Elizabeth National Park and is best known for its rare tree climbing lions, which are often seen resting in fig and acacia trees. This remote region offers quieter game drives, scenic open landscapes, and a rewarding connection between Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. It is a strong highlight for guests travelling from savannah wildlife country toward the gorilla trekking forests.
