About the Reserve

Mabamba Swamp is an important wetland near Entebbe and one of Uganda’s best known locations for seeking the iconic shoebill stork. Guided canoe excursions move quietly through papyrus channels and wetland vegetation, offering strong birdwatching opportunities and a calm nature experience close to the international airport. It is a useful optional activity for guests arriving early or spending an extra night in Entebbe.
